Matthew Matt James born in North Carolina 5 December 1991. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is the son of Nigerian and his mother is a caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 of Sanderson High School. In 2015, he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James gained fame when his role as a reality TV actor on The Bachelorette. James was selected in the year 2020 as the new bachelor in The Bachelor season 25, being the show's first African American male star. The season premiered later that year. James' fit was perfect for the role as his attractive, well-rounded, an impressive height. Rachael Krokconnell won the show when James chose to have an affair with her. In the season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, he competed with famous dancing star Arnold. James as well as Arnold came 12th.
